Earrings!
Today has been warm and balmy and I for one have so missed the higher temps, even the humidity! Hoping to finally shed the jackets and scarves and reveal more earrings as the mercury continues to rise in the weeks ahead! Pictured above are: In Bloom Earrings, Tiny Key Earrings, Target Earrings and Tiny Tennis Racquet Earrings.
Inspirations Spring Studio Sale
Over several years I have been happy to support Inspirations Studio by serving on their advisory committee. Next weekend, May 11-13, they will be having their Spring Studio Sale. Please check it out if you are in the Queen West area! Excellent opportunity to pick up a Mother's Day gift and support a great cause.
Here's a bit about their Mission:
• To empower marginalized women to develop artistic and business skills for income generation and enhanced well-being
• To generate economic opportunities for women through the sale of their arts and crafts
• To develop the capacity in the members to have the skills and knowledge to produce marketable pottery and to run a pottery studio and business.

Crafting fun with paper lanterns
I worked on these crafty gems a while ago, but KK and hubby finally had them installed and lit! So excited! Both were relatively inexpensive and quick projects with big impact. The first is a huge feather bomb made using numerous ready made boas and a very large white paper lantern. Copious amounts of hot glue was used, followed with plenty of burned finger tips.
Next was a cluster of pastel coloured lanterns that were embellished with some gouache doodles to go with the existing blinds in the room. I had lots of fun working on these lanterns and was so happy to hear that they loved them even more once they were hung up in the two dreamy rooms. Now to find some lighting solutions for my own home...

Extensive search
I've been working on a side project that has tasked me to make some very specific pieces of jewellery for someone. It has taken me to bead shops, knick knack shops, hardware stores, hobby shops, art supply stores and even toy stores. Let's not forget the hours spent searching on the ol' internet! This is a toughy! The hunt continues today!
