New Collection for Spring/Summer 2018

So happy to share that the MoonRox Collection for Spring/Summer 2018 is now live online!

Here's one of my favourite images of from the Look Book. The Sicilian Bouquet Necklace and Bracelet are so delightful. They make me dream of wandering through fragrant flower fields in the afternoon sun.

Hope you will have a look at the new collection and fall in love with some of the pieces!

Fall

Fall in Toronto has been the Summer we never had. It was warm. It was beautiful. I went on endless bike rides. I sat on a patio with friends on as many warm evenings as I could. Sigh, as a warm weather lover, I could get into Fall if it was always like that.
The sunshine made it so much better for me to be productive. Making jewellery in nice bright light is so pleasant. I've also been working on new displays for the One of a Kind Show.
Fall skies are especially lovely.

Snuck away to Collingwood with friends last weekend and I've been playing catch up this whole week. Been busy working hard building up stock during this busy Fall season.

Took a break for some fam time. My sister says this is possibly the greatest photo she has ever taken. I mean, does she think this is better than any photo she has taken of her babies? If this is the case I thought I owed it to her to share it! Haha! Not sure why but we thought this pic of me was so hilarious! We took her little ones trick-or-treating on this chilly Halloween. They are the cutest! Forgot to steal some of their candy haul though!
A few days ago the warm weather finally broke and it turned cold. I turned off the air conditioning and two days later turned on the heat. Seems like Fall is truly upon us now, over a month after its official arrival. Halloween is over and I heard a few Fa-la-las and Christmas jingles already. Feel like I can't wrap my mind around any of this! The big One of a Kind Show is only 3 weeks away! So much to accomplish before then.

Pretty excited to debut the MoonRox Collection for Fall/Winter 2017 tomorrow! All the new arrivals will go live on the website then!

So, I had better get back to work... triple spell-checking before the website update goes live! Another late night is ahead for me!

Until tomorrow...

Desert Day 1

Hi everyone! Oops I've been a little lax on the blogging! Summertime always seems to get in the way of any additional screen time! Today I am hobbled by a foot injury and basically bound to a reclined position so what better time to catch up on a little blogging! I have been meaning to post the photos from the Rome leg of my Italy trip from last year, but A) somehow those photos will not load each time I try and B) It seems so long ago! I'll figure it out one of these days.

In the meantime here are some pics from my trip to Palm Springs and Palm Desert this Spring.
My friends K and A asked me to join them on their trip and I jumped on it immediately. It was late-Winter and I was in the middle of the semi-annual One of a Kind Show craze, so I went without knowing a thing about the area or what we would be doing on this trip. Sometimes I think knowing nothing is the best way to visit a place.
K and I have known each other since the 8th grade but we have never taken a trip together so this was a nice treat.
As soon as I arrived, I got a chance to check out the Parker Palm Springs. If you know me, you know I love a good vintage find, mid-century modern style and loads of colour, so this place was just my kind of scene.
I mean, look at this giant owl macramé hanging!
I felt right at home.
Coming from a lingering Toronto Winter, it was so invigorating to feel the warm California sun and catch the sight and scent of vibrant flowers.
Got us some delicious cocktails and tacos at poolside immediately!
Helps to have a grown up version of a lemonade stand!

I need one of these swinging wicker chairs at home.
Within moments of arriving in Palm Springs, I knew I would enjoy this trip! Every corner was picturesque and chilled out and it was just what I needed! More photos are to come from the rest of our trip. Off to bed to rest my foot for the night and catch some quality zzz's.

Spring blossoms

I had am amazing getaway to the desert. Snuck away with some friends and had the greatest time. I went with no preconceived notions of the Palm Springs/Palm Desert area other than the fact that my sister enjoyed her visit many years back. As soon as I arrived I fell in love with the architecture, the kitschiness and the beautiful and varied terrain of the region. I'll have to share some of my many many photos soon. This reminds me that I never did finish up my Italy posts from last year. I still need to post the Rome photos. I'll catch up one of these days!

In the meantime, I got back to Toronto just in time to catch all the spring blossoms pop up around town. I love this time of year in Toronto. Everything is fresh and the brightest green and all the flowers are emerging. Here are some snap shots from outside Robarts Library at U of T. Yes, I was a little over zealous and took a few too many photos! They were just so perfect! Like pink fluffy cotton candy pom poms in the sky!

I'm feeling excited for warmer temps and super refreshed and inspired from my little getaway. My brain feels like it's working better too!

Hope you have a great week!
