Fall

Fall in Toronto has been the Summer we never had. It was warm. It was beautiful. I went on endless bike rides. I sat on a patio with friends on as many warm evenings as I could. Sigh, as a warm weather lover, I could get into Fall if it was always like that.
The sunshine made it so much better for me to be productive. Making jewellery in nice bright light is so pleasant. I've also been working on new displays for the One of a Kind Show.
Fall skies are especially lovely.

Snuck away to Collingwood with friends last weekend and I've been playing catch up this whole week. Been busy working hard building up stock during this busy Fall season.

Took a break for some fam time. My sister says this is possibly the greatest photo she has ever taken. I mean, does she think this is better than any photo she has taken of her babies? If this is the case I thought I owed it to her to share it! Haha! Not sure why but we thought this pic of me was so hilarious! We took her little ones trick-or-treating on this chilly Halloween. They are the cutest! Forgot to steal some of their candy haul though!
A few days ago the warm weather finally broke and it turned cold. I turned off the air conditioning and two days later turned on the heat. Seems like Fall is truly upon us now, over a month after its official arrival. Halloween is over and I heard a few Fa-la-las and Christmas jingles already. Feel like I can't wrap my mind around any of this! The big One of a Kind Show is only 3 weeks away! So much to accomplish before then.

Pretty excited to debut the MoonRox Collection for Fall/Winter 2017 tomorrow! All the new arrivals will go live on the website then!

So, I had better get back to work... triple spell-checking before the website update goes live! Another late night is ahead for me!

Until tomorrow...

Hallowe'en

Happy Hallowe'en! Here's a pic from the endless sea of orange at the pumpkin patch.

Still need to DIY a costume before evening... Hope you have a fun and safe celebration.

Hallowe'en

We are in full-on show prep mode around these parts.  This is always a manic time of year! But we didn't forget Hallowe'en!  Here are some fun pictures taken over the lead-up to today.  Can't believe we are privileged enough to spend relaxing evenings chatting and carving pumpkins when so many, including some dear friends are without water and power in Sandy affected areas.  Hoping for a smooth recovery for everyone in those areas.
We whipped up last minute costumes, as usual. I'm still rather impressed with our super-craftiness.  The sushi costume was really easy to make and lots of fun to wear.
Happy Hallowe'en to all!

Happy Hallowe'en!

Hope you are having a spooky evening...  Here are some quick snaps from the celebrations on the weekend.  On Saturday, A. and I drove a big cube van up north to move some of her stuff to her mom's and rolled back into town in time to meet up with S. and S. for the evening.
We all had a really busy week, so time was too short to craft extravagant costumes, thus the dollar store was our best pal.  Bit sad considering we are usually creative folk... We still had fun with it.  Everyone likes a funny hat!  Entertained ourselves laughing at both the comments on the backs of our speech bubbles and our low-to-no effort to dress-up.
Had a good time at W.'s party.  Saw some excellent get-ups.  Check out those robot costumes.  Both were equipped with lights.  The 'bot on the left even has a drink holder with extend-a-straw.  Pretty impressive.

Tonight I am making necklaces and earrings...

I'll let you know about a contest for the One of a Kind Show tomorrow!  Night!

Happy Hallowe'en

Hope everyone had a fun weekend! A., S. and I were Three Blind Mice named C, Howie and Run. For some reason, when you have dark shades on indoors and cannot make eye contact with anyone, you can be a complete goof. This picture is way too hilarious! Saw lots of great costumes last night. Amazing how creative people can get!

Tomorrow is November already... So much work to do! Back to my bookkeeping...

Hallowe'en...

Hallowe'en is a couple days away and I have yet to dream up a costume. I spotted Clementine and Booh all dressed up on the Monster Factory Blog. Too funny in their ghost costumes trolling the scary streets!

Happy Hallowe'en!

A. had a few of us over on Tuesday for an evening of two things from childhood -- pumpkin carving and cupcakes. She made the most delicious lemon icing. Mmmm..... 'Twas a lovely evening indeed! Check out our pum'kin creations. Not bad!
Hope everyone enjoys a Happy Hallowe'en! The crazy thing is the Holiday Season is around the corner. I have already seen some decorations and heard someone say "season's greetings." It seems to have crept up too quickly! Enjoy the Fall weekend!
