Grace Necklace

(Above: Grace Necklace photographed by Joseph Saraceno.)
The short week we had flew by! Spent too much time enjoying the unexpected unbelievable spring-like weather, so spending some of this grey Saturday playing a little catch up.

I finally got ahold of some basic materials that I was waiting for for months. I can finish off some half finished pieces at last! Makes me feel like I accomplished a lot without actually doing a lot as the finished stock just got majorly amped up with these touches!

Pictured above is the Grace Necklace. It's a lovely and elegant combination of coloured crystal beads and brass. It's a perfect piece to take from day to night.

Hope you enjoy your weekend!

One of a Kind Spring Show and Sale Coupon 2017 Edition

It been a dreary Winter here so I'm already getting excited for Spring! It's always my favourite season... actually, it's a close tie with Summer, but they go hand-in-hand! Counting down the days! To  ramp up for the season we are gearing up to the One of a Kind Spring Show & Sale. This year's edition runs from March 29th to April 2nd at the Enercare Centre at Exhibition Place, Toronto.

Start planning for your visit! Here is an e-coupon code to save $1 off the online ticket price, which is $3 off the price of admission at the door.
Follow this link and enter Coupon Code ETX2VF4P.
Can't wait to see you there!

In the meantime, here are some photos from life lately!
Valentine's Day armload including the Circuit Bracelet that will soon be available in new colours including the magenta seen in this photo.
Winter escapes to Allan Gardens Conservatory
Beautiful bon bons that I could barely bring myself to stop looking at to finally bite into.

Freezing rain is horrible to walk around it. One lady wiped out right next to me and as I held her up, another man bailed right next to us. Cold icy rain pelting you in the face is not fun, but the sparkling coating of ice on everything was stunning.
Time to get back to work on some new ideas now. I'm always seeing inspiring colours, patterns and sights everywhere!

Toronto Light Festival

#TOLightFest
I don't get to see my friend A. often enough these days. Life seems to be so hectic for everyone! So we were happy to meet up for a good old fashioned day of Random Adventure. In the past, this has often turned into a bit of day drinking, so after running around doing a few errands together, we met up with I. and found a spot to grab an early dinner and a couple drinks. Warmed with soup in our bellies, we headed to the Distillery District to check out the Toronto Light Festival! It's a new event to the city and we were all pretty excited to check it out. Sometimes events are at their best in their inaugural year... *ahem* Nuit Blanche. We had a great time touring around. It was a warmer weeknight evening before the recent snow had hit this town, so it was ideal for this outing. Not too cold and not too busy! We especially loved the interactive pieces and I am always a fan of neon and colour, so this was right up my alley. Here are some snapshots from our visit. Check it out if you have a chance! #TOLightFest is on until March 12.

National Sunday Supper Day

My family and I spend more time together than most families. Sometimes it's a lot (too much) but my family is very involved in each other's lives. Even if we have caught up during the week, we have always gathered for Sunday Family Dinner. We have done this for my whole adult life. When my Grandpa was still around, we would meet every Sunday at the same time, same table, at the same restaurant. The resto staff would hold table 1 for Old Mr. S. and pretty much boot people out of the table if they were not finished their meal before our arrival. He was one of my favourite humans ever, and I think people generally took to him. Every where we went, he would be saluted by someone he knew. We loved our Sunday dinners with our Gung Gung. After he passed in 2004, we have kept up with our Sunday dinners. We go to different places most times now and sometimes we cant make it, but it's still such a nice family tradition. This morning I heard that it was National Sunday Supper Day, a day to encourage families to sit down for a meal together. This was a national-made-up-holiday that was easy to get behind for our family! This was our meal today.
