Long weekend in the sun

The long weekend was filled with the stuff we wait all Winter for. The sunshine and warm weather is here and I really hope they stick around. The scent in the air is sweetened with Spring blossoms. People move slower and seem happier. I can't get enough of all of it! Spring is my favourite and this year has been such a slow start. I was so happy to enjoy the long weekend at D's cottage. Fresh country air and greenery does a body good!

City mouse, country mouse

These are photos from the Victoria Day long weekend.  Already seems so long ago...
Didn't plan a getaway, but some friends and I wanted to take advantage of the holiday to escape the city. Turned out to be a lovely weekend, with parts spent in Toronto and parts not.
Toronto: yarn shopping at Romni Wools
Toronto: city strolls and a little store visit at Bookhou
Toronto: A.'s late night berry topped crêpes
Hamilton: fish and chips pit stop at Hutch's
Niagara-on-the-Lake:  wine tasting at Jackson Triggs
Bloomfield:  strolling Main Street
Picton:  relaxing at the beach at the Sandbanks
Toronto:  chilling in the park and leisurely bike rides
Toronto:  Victoria Day fireworks

Ottawa whirlwind

On the Labour Day weekend, I rolled into our nation's capital for a couple packed days.  Mr. and Mrs. B. scooped me up for a tasty meat-filled dinner and we caught up on the latest gossip.
Then we strolled up to Parliament Hill and viewed the projected show Mosaika.
Not sure if it was our angle, but it was difficult to hear the words of the audio, so we mostly just enjoyed the images.
Visited the Centennial Flame before calling it and heading back to their house.

The next morning, Mrs. B and I dined in Byward Market...
before dropping in at Workshop Studio and Boutique for a quick delivery and visit.
Lots of new MoonRox jewels are now in at Workshop as well as sister store Flock!

In the afternoon, I met up with my family and attended the wedding of a good old family friend.  H. married his long time love and high school sweetheart.
I sported the Moonshadow Bracelet in Jade Green stacked with a Delicate Bracelet and a Crystallized Bracelet in Mint Green.  Thought it was a fun combo with this bright chartreuse dress and sparkly teal nails.  Mrs. B and I stayed up late the night before to glam up our digits. (And yes, I took this picture in the church... I tend to tune out when anything religious comes up.  I got the important parts!  It was a loving ceremony and bride and groom and whole wedding party looked great.)
Here's me and my Mom post-ceremony.  She looked super cute so had to share this!
The reception was at the Cumberland Heritage Village Museum and was charming as can be.  Surrounded by quaint buildings and the country night air, the party was fun, private and intimate.
Congrats to the happy couple!

And there went the weekend!  The following morning, we departed for a quick day back home in Toronto.  Next up was New York City!

Collingwood - August long weekend

I'm behind on blogging again...  It has been a whirlwind around here...  Mode Show... weddings... jewellery making... paper-work... Summer fun. Going to try to catch up in the next few days.  Here are some photos from a relaxing little Collingwood getaway with good friends, beachy days and lots of food.

Montreal

I have some major catching up to do here on the blog.  Things have been m-m-m-manic! I have just uploaded heaps of pics from the past couple months.  Finally delivered the last of the pieces from my side project and I declare that regular life is to resume immediately! I have some new work rolling out soon and will share that here in the next few weeks. In the meantime, I have a lot of blogging to do!

These are some highlights from our trip to Montreal.  Funny to look at these pictures... almost a month has passed during which time I have been completely absorbed in work.  The trip is all a fog in my mind and has almost been wiped from my memory.  Thank goodness for pictures.
