It's Friday! Happy for the weekend arriving, but not enjoying the frigid weather. Wish I was on a warm beach right now. Took this photo in Bermuda in 2008 on a day when I had Elbow Beach almost entirely to myself. Aaaamaaazing...

A visit at Made You Look

Went to drop off some custom orders at Made You Look the other day. Love the cheery bright candy shop array of jewels in the store. Spotted a loaded display of MoonRox and other baubles in the centre of the shop, so had to snap a pic!

Distillery visit

The other day, my parents and I had a nice lunch at the Mill St. Brewery in the Distillery District. We followed lunch with a little poke around at Bergo and some other shops. It was a freezing cold day and there were not many people around, but I love the history of the area. Here are a few snap shots!

Beam

And now for some MoonRox... These are the Beam Earrings! They are great with any outfit. Simple yet sparkling. A rugged beam is topped with a pretty Swarovski crystal cube. They come in loads of colours! I love my Emerald pair. You can pick up a pair HERE!

Hope you enjoy and wonderful weekend!!

Wishing for Summer dress weather

I do enjoy this pastel kaleidoscope dress by shabd.
It's on sale...
It's darn chilly here in Toronto this week. I've been mostly hunkered down indoors working on Spring/Summer 2011 designs. I'm missing the days of fancy-free traipsing around in a dress and flip-flops on long warm Summer nights. Just a few more months until then...

They are from No. 6.

Llama love

I received this Llama Love print by tastesorangey from A. for Christmas. She even framed it for me! So cute! She knows I think alpacas are the cutest ever and she thought this llama was looking as alpaca-ish as we could get. I've got to look for more great prints on Etsy. What a nice way to have affordable pieces from artists around the world.

oink OINK

Little salt pig, big salt pig! So excited to have these! S. gave me the wee one for Christmas. What an adorable sidekick for the big one. I am always salting my food. Naturally low blood pressure is my normal, so that is my excuse!
Both are from Crate and Barrel.

A new year

This post is a bit late. We are already days into 2011! So far this year I have been trying to organize and re-group -- get myself in a good frame of mind for a brand new year. I am excited for a fantastic one. I have numerous mental to-do lists that I plan on efficiently ticking off. Didn't make any resolutions this year. I liked a friend's theory... Resolutions are things you'd likely try to do anyway, so let's just plan to have fun!
Rang in the new year at the C. residence in Collingwood. It was a wonderful and mellow evening, which is just what we wanted.
(smashing potatoes)
We chatted, we feasted, we fested...
we played games, ate some more... and laughed so hard...
Then we found ourselves on an invigorating walk as the waning minutes of 2010 counted down. There was something really nice about being in the quiet out of doors as we welcomed 2011. The air had a hint of that cozy scent of wood burning and it was unseasonably warm out. Perfect for gazing at fireworks and playing in the snow! The 1st was spent relaxing and watching movies before returning to the city and getting back to work! Here's to a fabulous year ahead!
(Thanks to A. for hosting a lovely weekend!)
