Spring is coming!

We had a beautiful weekend here. Seems the nice weather tends to arrive on the weekends lately! Definitely not complaining! Been spending these days working on the new Spring/Summer Collection and getting the pieces stocked up for the online shop as well at for the One of a Kind Spring Show. Will be showing you the new pieces soon!

Thank you to those that scored a phone case and jewellery grab bag from our mini fundraiser! Your purchase dollars have been donated to the Canadian Cancer Society. Your support is extremely appreciated!

Today is the 29th of February. We have an extra 24 hours to enjoy this year. I'm hunkering down with pliers in one hand and making a mega To Do list for the next few weeks. Can't believe March will be upon us tomorrow. Hope your day has been lovely.

PS. Here is a cute pic of my nephew at the aquarium.

We are weeks away from the One of a Kind Spring Show already! We've been slowly working on accumulating stock of favourite pieces that we will bring back as well as getting the new Spring pieces ready for their debut! We'll keep you posted on new developments in the next few weeks, but in the meantime start planning your visit to the show by using e-coupon code AD7d2xm when picking up your tix online. With this code you will save $1 off the online price of tickets, which is $3 off the price of admission at the door. Not too shabby!

Winterstations 2016

Last year I forgot about the extreme Winter temperatures once I had a good reason to be outside in the ridiculous cold. So I was really looking forward to checking out this year's edition of the Winterstations competition so see what the winners came up with. Today JLo and I lunched and then wandered down to Kew Beach to scope out the installations.
'Flow' by Calvin Fung and Victor Huynh. A wooden reinterpretation of ice crystals.
'In the Belly of the Bear' by Caitlind Brown, Wayne Garrett and Lane Shordee. This domed sitting space featured a fur lined loft. It was so cozy and such a nice juxtaposition of hard and soft and light and dark.
'Steam Canoe' by OCAD University. Beautifully constructed wooden shelter.
Fire pit installation to shield visitors from the cold by architect Douglas Cardinal.
When you live in the heart of the city, you forget to look around and admire a simple beautiful Winter day. It's further enhanced by an interesting and interactive outdoor art experience. Check out the Winterstations on until March 20, 2016.
