Confection Bracelets

Just a quick post to wish everyone a happy long weekend!  I can hardly believe that the final long weekend of this Summer is already upon us.  Looking forward to visiting with some good friends in the next few days!  Will be sporting a couple new Confection Bracelets... the newest additions to my arm party! The Confection Bracelet comes in 5 colour variations and they look great piled up!

Happy weekend!

Cross border

Had a fun day last week with S and A.  We had put off our cross-border adventures for more than I year, I think... so it was long overdue.  We had lofty goals of shopping up a storm and returning home with bags of steals and deals.  The highlights of our bounty included a toddler toy, some blush and some fabric softener.  Not successful whatsoever...  But, I had a fab day with the ladies as always...  and enjoyed our tasty wings at the end of the night!

I wish Summer would last forever...

(Jewellery makers still like to buy jewellery!  Black and brass bracelet by Ian Savage.)
Perhaps I am made for a different country.  I wish the weather was 30 degrees all the time.  Love the warm evenings when you don't need to grab an extra layer...  Love the sights, sounds and even smells of Summer in the city.  Fresh fruits, city strolls, patios, park hangs, bike rides, outdoor concerts, ball games...  I just want more of it!

The Handy Series

I'm super excited about this group of new MoonRox necklaces. This is the Handy Series! Choose from six teeny tiny replica tools hung on a beautiful varied chain. There are a limited number of each. Tools include Blade (almost sold out), Hackett Wrench, Pliers, Screwdriver, Scissors and Wrench. Some of them even have functioning hinges! They are the coolest little things ever!

I'll be adding them to the shop soon!

An EX-cellent week

Had a great week last week and am a bit sad to see Monday here...  but this week may be just as good if not better than the last.  Here are some snapshots from last week.
Afternoon lunch and flower shopping with Mom.
Coffee breaks and meetings.
Dining out of doors on tasty fish tacos.
Working on upcoming projects while admiring AK's living room wall installation.
Late night homemade desserts with fresh Summer peaches.
Morning bike rides by the water.
Music festing under the trees in the sunny park.
Admiring the city skyline from the west.  Strange blank billboard.
Princess gates at the CNE against a marvelous purple cotton candy sky.
Lounging at the Blue Rodeo concert while surveying the Ex.
Running around for some post-concert rides and photo-taking.
Our stomachs are not what they used to be in our youth.  Don't think whirring high speed rides sit quite as well any more!
Love the swings the best!
Not sure what it is about the supreme gaudiness of the annual fair that I enjoy so much.  Perhaps it is the many lights and colours.  Hope to go back to visit my fave buddies, the alpacas in the farm pavilion.
Was so happy to see so many different friends this past week and then finished things off with a Sunday family dinner to wind down and get ready for a busy work week!  Back to my pliers now.  Happy Monday!

From the Mode Accessories Show

Following the wedding I went back to work to finalize preparations for the Mode Accessories Show.  It was great to see many of our favourite buyers and to catch up a little bit!  Thanks to those that came by.  I'm excited for the Fall/Winter season and am happy to show you some of the new pieces that debuted at the Show.  Above are the new Pavé Bracelets in loads of great colours.

Here is the Moonshadow Bracelet in bronze, and this lovely also comes in vibrant bold colours.  Below is the Stalactite Rope Bracelet.  It is the edgier cousin of the Entwined series.  I'll be showing you more pictures of new baubles in the weeks ahead.  Hope you like them!
At the show, I always have a great time with some of the other talented designers and amazing people in the Canadian Design area of the show.
Here's some work from Mehoi... greeting cards, pins and cufflinks are pictured.
And here a lemon yellow Moonshadow Bracelet mingles with some graphic wrist gear from Foxy Originals.
This is the smashing and sweet Ozlem of Moda by Ozlem modeling an absolutely brilliant handbag from Mary Francis.
I also finally met Jillian of Headmistress!  We have communicated but never met, so that was a nice treat.

Now I am working on getting orders made and shipped out!  Stay tuned!

Bridal earrings

I was honoured to make the earrings that CN wore on her special day.  We chose to make the Tassel Earrings in sterling silver with sparkling clear and silver Swarovski Crystals.  I think they accented her wedding day ensemble perfectly.

A tall ship wedding

Last weekend, we set up the trade show booth in record time, and rushed off so as not to miss the boat!  I was happy to celebrate the marriage of CN to her new hubby G aboard the ship where they worked and met.  It was a stormy and unseasonably cool day, especially in the middle of the continuous heat wave we have had this Summer. Didn't think it was my place to share their personal day here on this blog, but I took lots of photos of the scene as it was definitely novel to be on the water in Toronto... on a tall ship.  The grey clouds, historic ship and city skyline made a beautiful back drop for a wedding, even if it did rain a bit.  J and I had a little bit of a battle with an umbrella. But, as they say, rain on your wedding day is good luck, and a double rainbow as we returned to land must certainly be a bonus good omen.

Congrats to CN and G!
