Now that my hoarded stash of Sultry Suds Sultry Citrus Lotion is running dangerously low, I am trying other citrus scented alternatives. This hand butter from the Fruits and Passion Cucina line is excellent. I like the Ginger and Sicilian Lemon option. It may not be all natural, but it smells divine and really works to protect and moisturize my Winter-ravaged working hands. Plus it's made in Canada!

These are some earrings that I made for a dear customer who always insists on earrings to match her bracelets and necklaces. I know, they look heavy, but she can handle it! I think they turned out well! They'll look pretty with the Twinkle series that she picked up. Next up on the custom order list are wedding jewels with the season of nuptials upon us!
On Saturday, Geekigirl and I took in the sights and sounds of Opera Atelier's La Clemeza di Tito. The performers, including talented Canadian soprano Measha Brueggergosman were amazing, the costumes lovely and the set simple and beautiful. Nice to sneak away from the pace of modern day Toronto to Rome, centuries ago. I had forgotten how stunning the Elgin Theatre is. Such a gem. Just a couple more performances left until the run is over on May 1. Catch it if you have a chance. This layperson thoroughly enjoyed!

Spring came but for a brief moment on the long weekend... At least that is how it feels! Spent some time in the sunshine for the first patio worthy day of the year... then the weather returned to grey and cold. That little bit of sun did wonders for me, but I am definitely ready to be rid of this never-ending rain and wind. April showers had better bring May flowers, or I might lose it! Speaking of fleurs, these are some recent snaps of tulips.
The Easter weekend was enjoyable over all. Seems I ate my way through the weekend... I am particularly loving the wahoo ceviche at Foxley lately. Mmm... Hope your long weekend was nice too!

This is me at work. I am surrounded here by two large desks. One for my computer and papers etc. and one for beading and creating. On the shelves behind me is just a bit of my supplies for creating jewellery! Right now I am working on getting through some serious filing and spreadsheets before shutting down for the day! Hope you all have a wonderful long weekend. Eat lots of chocolate bunnies!

Had a super fun morning shopping with S. and L. for Swedish Hasbeens for H&M. I was feeling indifferent and then a wee bit crazy for lining up as I have never done such a thing before, but it was great chatting with really nice like-minded women outside the store. Once inside, it was extremely civilized and we all happily walked away with new shoes. All set for Summer! Now bring on the sunny weather please please please!

Picked up some tie dyed hair ties from Mane Message recently. The drug store variety do not seem to stay put in my hair and these looked like fun. They are great! Lots of luscious colours and they look prettier than the general variety of elastics -- almost like a little ribbon. Might have to order some more!

Things I'm Thankful For print by Laura George is so adorable. I've favourited some of her other prints before. I recently picked up a bunch of frames, so I am looking for some small prints to insert! Currently I'm thankful for the beautiful moon this evening and the delicious purple basil crab I had for dinner, but not really feeling the taxes and mounds of paperwork I am working on right now...
The glimmering Parkdale shop, Made You Look has been re-stocked of all your MoonRox needs. This is probably one of the best places to treat any sort of jewellery addiction. They represent the work of well over 100 Canadian designers, primarily from the Toronto area. I was so happy to see a nice display of MoonRox set up at the counter. They likely have one of the most complete selections of my work that you will find in a retail store. Unfortunately I forgot my camera that day, but I took a couple snap shots with my phone. Pop by their south-side location and you'll find...
the Bracelet and other pieces from the Twinkle Pearl Creme Series,
charming Twinkle Pins,
Treasure Bracelets in lots of colour options,
and plenty of other pretty goodies!

What is with this weather we have been having? So all over the place...
The cold chilly weekend went by too quickly and I'm not feeling at all rested! Really didn't appreciate the s n o w and lashing winds!? Wish I was more productive this weekend... feeling a huge creative itch and should not really squander those moods, but there are always more days ahead! I did manage to spend some quality time with friends and fam!
Here are some random pics from my week. Seems I did a lot of eating a drinking, but really the past week was very busy work-wise too.
Ice cream treat with B....
Colourful bunch of tulips...
Mexican feast with Mr. and Mrs. B....
(Come visit more often!!)
Seems I am pretending we are in a warm climate lately. The weather had better improve! Looking forward to a good week. Night!

This is old news now, but I haven't had a chance to load these pics until now. I went to the Toronto Vintage Clothing Show at Wychwood Barns last Sunday. It was looking to be a gloomy Sunday and I was still in a bit of a haze. Partly from lack of sleep and partly from the effects of a slightly-fruitful-but-full-on-hardcore cross-border shopping Saturday in Buffalo with A. and S., complete with Buffalo wings! It has become our annual Spring day-trip and we had a great time despite my sup-par state. Anyhow, I was in the perfect mood for a fancy-free day at an antiques show. The venue was great (loved the natural light) and the show was a really nice size with good-quality vendors. And then the sun came out and it turned out to be a beautiful day!
Here are some photos from Sunday. I seem to take too many phone pics lately and not enough real camera photos, so please excuse me!

Today is the last day of the MoonRox fundraiser to help the victims of the triple disaster in Japan. All proceeds from purchases made from the Online Shop will be donated to the Red Cross. This is ending at midnight. Thanks to those that have made purchases to help out. I cannot believe it has been a month since the horrible earthquake and ensuing events in Japan. Although the fundraiser is ending soon, I know we have not forgotten the people in need and we will all try to keep helping!

It's Friday and I am exhausted. Stayed up wayyyy tooo late and got up too early, but it was for a good cause. Here are my random thoughts of the day:
- The MoonRox fundraiser to support the victims of the disaster in Japan will end on April 11th, 2011. Keep shopping and helping!
- Going to make a big donation to The Corsage Project today. So excited to be a part of this... Hope the event is a huge success!
- Will have some new arrivals at boutiques to update you on soon. Here is the list of stockists as of now.
- You can now follow MoonRox on Twitter, HERE.
On non-MoonRox topics...
- Love the gorgeous colours of these tulip fields seen on Lemmemakeit. Can't wait for Spring blooms to pop here.
- Might be lining up with A. and S. for these.
- Ordered some of these to tame the tresses. Waiting for them to arrive in the mail!
- Like some of the D.I.Y. ideas seen on the Ikea blog.
- Plan to recover the parents' vintage teak chairs for my dining set.
- Need to sew some Summer dresses.
- Think I may bust out the old paints and put them to canvas.
- Looking forward to seeing Mrs. B. and the hubby next week.
- Need some chicken wings and beer! (Though not at this hour... )
So tired, I can't think of what else I meant to say... need a nap!

I received these extremely odd looking thingamajigs for my iPhone recently. The do-dad on the right is a finger substitute for the touch screen -- kind of like a tiny pen. And you can plug it into the headset jack so you don't lose it. Didn't work so well and I quickly resumed using my own ten digits. And what would one need a wee plunger for? Apparently to suction to the back of the phone so you can hold it better while playing games?! People will think of anything! Not sure about these things, but thanks to the fam for thinking of me.
