Long weekend in the sun

The long weekend was filled with the stuff we wait all Winter for. The sunshine and warm weather is here and I really hope they stick around. The scent in the air is sweetened with Spring blossoms. People move slower and seem happier. I can't get enough of all of it! Spring is my favourite and this year has been such a slow start. I was so happy to enjoy the long weekend at D's cottage. Fresh country air and greenery does a body good!

Lattice Necklace

This is the Lattice Necklace. I found these vintage pastel flecked beads and had to scoop up all that they had. All pieces made with these beads are very limited, but that makes them more special. In the creative process when designing the Spring/Summer 2016 collection, this was the first piece that I made. I love how one piece can lead to a whole series or family. I'll show you some of those pieces soon!

This necklace is named Lattice as it brings to mind those simmering days of Summer when gardens are super lush with foliage and blooms climbing up the lattice walls.

The Lattice Necklace is available in Mint, Orange and Pink.

Earrings galore

For our lookbook this season, we shot our sunny yellow images as well as some glorious and regal blue images! Here is a look at of some of the new MoonRox earrings for Spring/Summer 2016.

I chose this shade of blue inspired by the palette of Matisse while dreaming of charmed Grecian holidays, filled with sparkling mediterranean waters, relaxing warm Summer evenings, the scent of blossoms wafting through the air. If only I could make this vision come true!

Golden Hour Necklace and Stud Earrings

Especially in Springtime, I can never get enough of a nice sunny day. I can always appreciate that moment when the sun is just about to go down, casting a golden and warm glow.

Seaside Necklace

We've had a week of cold, snowy, drizzly and generally unpleasant weather here in Toronto. After a week in a convention centre at the One of a Kind Show, and a patch of grey weather, I am crrrraving sunshine, warm weather, fragrant blossoms and salt water! This is the Seaside Necklace! It combines brass pendants with amazonite and crystal. I am one that can get lost bobbing around in warm salty water and staring out into the horizon for hours with just my thoughts and clean fresh air. This necklace was inspired by these thoughts.

So here is a dose of happy warmth for you!

Sweet!

Soft pastels everywhere! Last week, one of our One of a Kind Show ticket giveaway winners surprised me with a sweet box of macarons as a thank you! Such a nice unexpected token of kindness! Thanks so much to our winner @primandpaper that entered on IG! 

Like I said the other day, we have the nicest, best, amazing customers!

Been slowly catching up on custom and online orders and hesitantly dealing with the bi-annual mess I make in the flurry leading up to the craft show. I have so many projects whirling through my head. I want to do some painting, sew some sacky dresses and new cushions, re-organize my living space, plan a new booth for the Christmas show, so much more. Off to write myself a big list!

Wrapped up my 15th year at the One of a Kind Spring Show! 15 years/30 shows in the books! I started when I was 7 years old. This is my story and I am sticking to it! ;)

We really have the best, nicest, loyal and amazing customers! A huge thank you to everyone that came by to pick up a new MoonRox piece or just to say hello. Thanks to my family and friends for all of the assistance with ever facet of this business over these years. Absolutely could not have done it without your help. Thanks also to the OOAK team and my creative family for 15 fun years. Looking forward to many more!

Spent today with family and friends and eating pastries and spicy hot meals! Back to work tomorrow!

Hope you had a nice weekend! Just a little over two weeks until the One of a Kind Show and the next several days will surely be manic. I kind of enjoy being swamped. Love a good deadline! I am always far more efficient when very busy than when it's quiet.

Spring is coming!

We had a beautiful weekend here. Seems the nice weather tends to arrive on the weekends lately! Definitely not complaining! Been spending these days working on the new Spring/Summer Collection and getting the pieces stocked up for the online shop as well at for the One of a Kind Spring Show. Will be showing you the new pieces soon!
