One week left...

One week until Christmas... I am not doing well on the gift front. Have only got 2.5 gifts sorted... not good... not good. I have some nice creative ideas in mind. Now to find the time to execute these ideas. Hope everyone is enjoying a nice weekend!

Pom-poms galore!

I have a thing for pom-poms... I think it's the nostalgia of making them as a wee one. I love these delightful garlands from pics accompanying the full instructions from Honestly WTF. My Sis was clearing out a load of yarn the other day, and the crafty lady in me could not resist, so this might be the perfect project for said load.

Retreating while reading

I can't remember how I came across this blog, but I have been enjoying the read. I have a habit of blog hopping and leaving numerous windows open. The ones I like the most, like My Scandinavian Retreat, sometimes stay open for days... I am supposed to be doing my taxes and not day dreaming of a retreat of my own. So many nice homes!

So pretty

This is the spread at the surprise wedding of Amy Moss of the blog Eat Drink Chic. I love all the mixed flowers suspended in the bottles and the casual and rustic yet yummy and stylish looking array. It all just looks so happy! Also, I like the wooden box/tray from Canadian company, Holt Renfrew on display all the way in Melbourne, Australia!

Sewing

I spent the past couple days at my fashion designer friends' studio sewing a side project for one of my clients. Now all I feel like doing is sewing! Last night I even dreamed of serging. So this morning, I was happy to peruse Make Something, the blog of Karyn, the owner of the Workroom in Parkdale, right next to Made You Look. In today's post, she shared some handmade ideas from the previous year's holiday season. Here she sewed her gifts into paper packages. I like to sew paper and fabric onto greeting cards and tags, but never thought of sealing the gift with stitches! So cute!
