Pretty things -- Seen and been

Ribbons stacked above the entrance at the new MacFAB store in Leslieville.
A bird light fixture by Challières
{found via Oh Joy!}
Pretty Essie nail polish that I treated myself to. These colours are named Golden Nuggets, Mint Candy Apple and Splash of Grenadine. None are age appropriate, but who cares!
A classic booth at the Lakeview Restaurant. Love these gems.
Colourful and delectable treats at Pusateri's.
Fresh magnolia blooms on the tree planted in honour of my Grandfather in the courtyard at Aunt L.'s place of work.
A dreamy scene from a recent Anthropologie catalogue that makes me want to travel to someplace warm and far away.

This list is admittedly quite scattered, but sometimes things are just pretty and I want to remember them. That's all!

Amazing wirework

I came across Marie Christophe's work through design*sponge. Years ago (maybe eight?) I made a star shaped wire and beaded lantern, but my wirework can be very random and appear more scribbly, if that makes sense. So, I really admired Christophe's precise and sculptural work. She has done installations for big names such as Cartier and Hermes! I especially enjoy the pelican lamp and the mobile in the last set of photos. Visit Marie Christophe's site for more HERE.

I like...

I am really amazed by these chandeliers and other lighting fixtures by British Columbia based ReDesign Technologies. They are meticulously made with an item that we might see every day and give little thought to. I love that the simple wire paperclip has been given such importance and has become so beautiful! Check out more here.
