I'm savouring the last few days that local convenience store at Queen and Euclid, Square Fruit Market will be open. They are closing at the end of the month despite a campaign to save them! Even though I live close to grocers in Chinatown, I always prefer to walk a few extra minutes to Square to pick up some plants for the garden, always fresh and often local produce... or even a nice crusty loaf of bread. Now I will have to make three stops in place of the one. Or head to a big chain grocer. Too bad!Yes, this is a bit of a random post!
