All set!
Here I am piled into J. Lo's car all ready to move the goods into the One of a Kind Show! It was more ridiculous than it looks. I had stuff crammed by my toes and up to my eyes! Now thanks to help from A. and J. Lo, the booth looks great and is ready for your shopping pleasure! I'm excited for a great Show! Come see us in booth Q-52! Bridal jewels n' donuts with Mrs. P!
The newly married Mrs. P. asked me to incorporate a pretty family heirloom brooch in a bridal head piece. We chose some lovely accent colours to match her teal shoes that were a particular colour that somehow made me think of that indescribable sheen of a peacock feather. I think it worked out quite well!
We also decided on these simple and elegant earrings to go with. I hope the newlyweds are enjoying their honeymoon right now -- I am sure they are!
On a side note, we met at Little Nicky's so I could present her with her new accessories. They have the most scrumptious homemade mini donuts. We thought they had the perfect mix of cinnamon and sugar.
I quite like their vintage decor and their americanos too!
There goes another work week! Well, not exactly... with the One of a Kind Show next week, or in a few days really, I plan on working a fair bit this weekend. Spring is here!
It's been an endless Winter! Sure seems that way... So, I'm happy to welcome Spring today! Here's a snap of the most beautiful tulips in the softest shades of blush pink at La Merceria the other day. Ran into two familiar lovely ladies there and joined them for my sunny afternoon coffee. Speaking of tulips, these blooms look so pretty with the charming new Moo biz cards of N.A. of tuliP+i. (They carry many of the blankets and keepsake pieces from tuliP+i at La Merceria.)
Last night I tried to take a picture of the Super Moon, but this is the best I could do. Almost looks like the sun in a dark sky. Oh well, I have the image banked in my memory! Did you get a gander at it?Looking forward to a nice cheery Spring!

Heavenly sweet
Enjoying a Fleur de Sel Caramel Cookie that we picked up at the Heavenly Sweets Café in Collingwood the other day. Not even sure if I can really call this thing a cookie... It is really so much more! It is unbelievably divine. Anyhow...Happy Friday! Enjoy the weekend! It promises to be a sunny one here. I'm enjoying the sights and sounds of the onset of Spring.

Shop and help Japan
HELP JAPAN!
In an effort to help the people of Japan to recover from the impact of the recent earthquake and tsunami, the purchase price of all items in the MoonRox Etsy Shop (minus any transaction fees and shipping costs) will be donated to the Red Cross. I'm hoping that this will be a great way to help and have a new piece of jewellery to show for it!

Weekend Collingwood getaway
Here's some of that frivolity I spoke of earlier. I am so grateful for being afforded these luxuries when so much devastation is happening in Japan.
I went up to Collingwood with G. and N. on the weekend and enjoyed a relaxing getaway. Since I live smack downtown, I rarely get to see a tree, let alone snow that isn't brown with dirt sprayed by passing cars. Kind of sad, now that I think about it! So, don't mind all these photos... I was loving the peaceful quiet up north and having the fluffy fresh snow to kick around. Both mornings, my friends went skiing and I went for walks. So nice!
Saturday afternoon, we poked around town... Got some yummies at Heavenly Sweets Cafe,
and checked out the refurbished and environmentally sustainable historical building, the Tremont House. It's now occupied by light-filled artists' studios, an art school, apartments and a beautiful café. Plus it has a green roof!
Then G. and I spent several hours indulging in total relaxation at La Scandinave. Please excuse this poor photo. It does not do the place any justice. We floated from hot bath or eucalyptus infused steam room to brief cold dips and then onto the zen state of the relaxation rooms. All this amongst the pretty snow covered trees while fresh snow continued to fall. Seemed odd to have so much of the white stuff when there is not a speck just a couple hours away here in Toronto. Several cycles in the Scandinavian baths and much later, we were retrieved by N. and brought back to the house for a delicious dinner.
Ok, now here are many more snow blanketed shots from my invigorating walk the next morning. It was gorgeous out! So tranquil. It doesn't take much to please me! I was trying to breathe the fresh air in as deeply as possible...
We ate loads of the most delicious citrus any of us have ever had! Ok... maybe just in recent memory... Loved the colours and snapped a picture. It was an all-round chilled out couple of days. Felt like a mini-vacation! Just what I needed! I was thinking of taking a pre-One of a Kind Show holiday, but forgot it was March Break for many, so it wasn't the best time to go. Perhaps next month! Now it's back to the pre-Show mania! Thanks so much to G. and N. for a lovely weekend!

This is a cute iPhone case my sis brought me from her recent trip to Hong Kong. It's cute as pie! Still have a cassette player in the car, so the old tapes are not out of my life yet, making me enjoy this thing even more.
Today the sun is making my day. Seems like we have not seen Mr. Sunshine in a while... Or is it just me? The longer days and beaming sunshine make me a happy gal! But... then I feel awful for enjoying small pleasures and doing the frivolous things of every day life when there are such horrors happening in Japan. I am going to organize something to do my little part in helping. Stay tuned for news.
