Custom head band for a Sweet 'P'

This head band was custom made for a little baby girl's baptism. P. has the most amazing red hair that L. and I marveled at at the One of a Kind Show earlier this month. I do hear that red heads are going extinct, so I felt she was lucky to have such fabulous locks. Her mother and I decided on the details and she was very happy to receive the piece this week. We made it fit little P.'s head perfectly! Since it was for a special occasion, I surprised her with an embroidered 'P' on the back of it. I can't wait to see the pictures of her wearing it!

Yesterday I visited Heidi-Ho 2 in the Yonge and Eglinton neighbourhood here in Toronto. Heidi had her shop nicely decked out for Spring! We had a good visit and the shop is now stocked with lots of MoonRox goods for the season!

I just spotted this smoke from a Queen's Quay condo roof top fire. It was so bizarre to see the plume of black smoke laced across the clear blue sky. The fire was extinguished minutes after this moment and I hear on the news that there were no injuries reported.

Retreating while reading

I can't remember how I came across this blog, but I have been enjoying the read. I have a habit of blog hopping and leaving numerous windows open. The ones I like the most, like My Scandinavian Retreat, sometimes stay open for days... I am supposed to be doing my taxes and not day dreaming of a retreat of my own. So many nice homes!

Windy!

It was a long day of non-stop errands. I am exhausted from the past few days! This is what it looks like outside right now. The moon is bright and clouds are flying by with the loud gusty winds. I wish I had a better camera quite often! I am going to have to start doing some research!

I'll post about a couple MoonRox tidbits tomorrow.

Aberfoyle Antique Market

Hope everyone enjoyed a nice weekend. I had lots of family time and also went for a long-planned day trip. It was a freezing cold and damp day compared to the nice warm days we have been having, but S. scooped up a car load of gals and we headed to the Aberfoyle Antique Market. Lots of great stuff there! Some of it came home with us!

This bird was the most amazing object ever! It deserves two pictures! It appears to be completely handmade with layers of metal fringe. We were fascinated by it, but alas, did not purchase it.

Thanks to the girls for a good day! We have to go back one day when the sun is out! Umbrellas are not conducive to shopping for treasures!

Earth Day

I am trying to be remember to be kinder to our Earth every day. Here's a perfect Earth Day themed embroidered wall hanging by Dottie Angel.

Lovely evening to cap off the lovely day

My parents came by before we went out for dinner. I yanked a PC tarte au citron out of the freezer and made some tea and coffee. This lemon tart is excellent, even compared to freshly made specimens. There was one week where I went around town sampling lemon tarts at different pastry shops and had decided that I had found my fave... until I had this President's Choice one. Of course, I am a sucker for most things citrus so a lemon tart is not a hard sell.
Then we ventured out to the beach for sundown. My Dad wanted to snap some photos of this lifeguard station so I joined in the camera-geeking. It was pretty calm and serene out by the water this eve.
It was a nice day over all and I was able to spend a fair amount of it outside. I am now paying for it, doing filing and sorting jewels late at night!

How sweet is this scene? Looks like some wee swans are soon to arrive. It was lovely down by the Toronto waterfront this afternoon.

More pretties

Around lunch hour today, I ventured over to High Park to see the cherry blossoms before they are hit by rain tomorrow. It was cloudy when I was there, but so peaceful and quiet in the park. The blossoms were beautiful, so I couldn't help myself and like last year, snapped a tonne of photos.

The smell was amazing!

Yay! It's Friday night! I'm tired (as you can see) and am supposed to be napping but am blogging. Let me see if I can catch a couple winks. Have a great weekend!
